Season's Greetings, folks!
As the days get shorter and my schedule -- both personal and professional -- gets busier, the posts on this blog become more scarce. I know this is just an extension of my hobby and it, therefore, shouldn't be a source of shame or consternation. But, I can't help but feel disappointed in myself for kinda letting the blog go fallow for considerable stretches. So, apologies for that.
Anyhow, on a much merrier note, my good buddy Shane at Shoebox Legends provide a jolt of jolliness in the way of a Mets-centric PWE recently. An assortment of nine cards from the 2010 Topps Mets team set!
By now, most of you know the deal with these 17-card team sets which are issued in blister packs. For the most part they look the same as the regular-issue cards from the flagship set, but they have different numbering on the card backs.
Additionally, you'll usually get a photo variation on one or two of the cards. I believe the nine you see above feature the same photo as their cousins in the regular 2010 Topps set.
Regardless, these are great additions to the ol' Mets collection. I absolutely appreciate the thought and gesture, Shane. Hope you and the family have a Merry Christmas!
